1. Do I need to have a Scottish ancestry or ethnicity to join the organization?
Answer: NO! Our organization takes pride in fostering a diverse and inclusive atmosphere. We welcome everyone!
2. Do I need to understand music or know how to dance?
Answer: NO! Our teaching programs are for everyone including beginners.
3. Are lessons for all ages?
Answer: Yes! Why should kids have all the fun? It’s never too late to fulfill your dream of becoming a piper, drummer or dancer.
4. What if I can’t afford the program fees?
Answer: We DO NOT TURN AWAY folks based on economic status. Talk to us! We don’t want anyone to go without.
5. What if I can’t afford an instrument?
Answer: We have loaner instruments available for beginners.
6. Do I get to keep the uniform?
Answer: No. Any member that leave the organization, must return loaned uniforms and instruments so that we can provide for others. Note: Kilts and other components are expensive.
7. What opportunites does a Rob Roy member have?
Answer: Members have opportunities to compete in highland games across Ontario and even Scotland! Members can also work towards performing at local events.
